Richard J Messer Excellence in Human Resources Management Award
The Richard J. Messer Award for Excellence in Human Resources Management is designed to recognize outstanding leadership and achievements in the human resources field and is the highest award that can be received in SHRM Tulsa. The recipient is an individual who serves as a role model for others, sets the standard by which others are measured and unselfishly gives of themselves to the betterment of SHRM Tulsa, the human resources profession and the community. This prestigious award is named in honor of Rick Messer, one of the founding members of SHRM Tulsa (TAHRA) who became a national chairman of SHRM as well as the founding chairman of HRCI.

New Professional Award
The New Professional Award recognizes an outstanding SHRM Tulsa member with five years or less of experience in the HR profession. This award honors emerging HR professionals who demonstrate exceptional growth, innovation, and meaningful contributions to their organization early in their careers.

HR Department of One Award
The HR Department of One Award recognizes a SHRM Tulsa member who excels as the sole HR professional within their organization.
